Didneyland!!! Yes... DiDneyland
Having a season pass to any amusement park definitely has its perks and this year's family choice for was Disneyland. While grandma was out this past week, Kay, Christina, Samantha, Grandma, Mom, and I took a trip down to beautiful Anaheim for a day with Disney. Kay and I got there later than the others as we had school and did not have the privilege to skip, and upon arriving had to wait in probably the longest line of the day to have Kay's season pass picture taken. We soon became bored and started the picture extravaganza off with a few pics with Main Street in the backdrop.
Yes, Mom was there also, but being the weenie that she is, she opted for the very back seat and was subsequently cut from this picture as I was in front of her. Kay, however, braved the depths of Splash Mountain in the very front seat and, well; let's just say I didn't have my jacket for a few hours :)
Here are my three favorite girls... Oh no wait they were my favorite BEFORE forcing me on the tea cups to be their spinning slave. I hate those spinning rides at normal speed, but to make it worse, with my massive biceps spinning that tea cup around, the girl operating the ride had to shut it down for the rest of the night to let the bearings and gears cool down once I was done with it. Needless to say I had a bit of a headache and vomiting sensation in the pit of my stomach after this ride.
Towards the end of the night we wound up on the carousel. A relaxing ending to a pretty sweet day altogether.

Slightly Delayed
Ok, so I thought I posted this Sunday afternoon but apparently Picasa wasn't cooperating so here it is finally. Kay and I went to her Senior Homecoming dance this past Saturday night and the football game the night before. It was a lot of fun and the awkward feeling of returning to a high school dance, which was prevalent for prom last year, was not a factor this year. I was just happy to be going with Kay.
We decided to eat at our very favorite, Benihana, or Beni-hahaha as one of he chefs so eloquently put it. The original reservation was for Kay, her two friends, their dates, and myself. However, due to some uncontrollable circumstances it ended up being just the two of us… Kay’s friend’s date and me… no not really :-) Anyway, it was great food nonetheless and despite eating next to some old boring college-professor type folks it was a lot of fun.

The dance was held at Gameworks inside of Ontario Mills. It was a great choice of venue and even though it was a bit crowded it was an exciting place to have a dance. We arrived before the doors even opened and once they did let us in, nothing really went on for about an hour, so we did what anyone in the middle of Gameworks would do… we played video games. Finally after I demolished Kay on the Ultimate Air Hockey table, which spit out like 200 pucks at a time, we got to the rest of the festivities and had a really nice time. Of course, I had to fight off quite a few guys trying to cut in with Kay, but I handled them all well… my regards to their families… :)

Senior pics

So, if you thought you were going to hear anything about me on my own blog you were pretty much mistaken. If you want to hear the latest embarassing story in my life my mom's blog is your best bet. However, my mom predicted that my blog would be solely dedicated to talking about Kay, and while I feel like I've done a pretty good job to combat that judgement I've realized something... There really isn't anything that interesting that goes on in my life that doesn't involve Kay. So here is another post which is solely for, well... Kay. Anyways, last week Kay recieved her senior pictures back from the photographer and she was so excited. She rushed over to my house to show me and when I took a look at them I first noticed how good she looked but first mentioned how the photographer could have done things differently. Needless to say what I was thinking and should have said differed from what I did say. As you can imagine I got into quite a bit of trouble for this. Now that I have redeemed myself and been forgiven I decided to show everyone else how good they came out. These are the proofs and the logo obviously wasn't in the shot with her... but you get the idea :)

This afternoon Kay and I were eating lunch as we do pretty much every day and the topic of feet came up, don't ask me how, but it did. Through this interesting conversation a small dare or challenge, if you will, came about. Kay is always talking about how much she hates her feet, and I'm always telling her that she is just paranoid, but today she was particularly convinced and I wanted to see if her suspicions of "monkey feet" were true. So, how else would we prove that her feet are normal than by having her peel a banana using only her toes? She was insanely good and I had to finally agree that while her feet aren't ugly, they are unnaturally capable :)

Just to shove it in my face she proceeded to eat the banana continuing to use her feet only. Little did she know I had a plot in the back of my mind to post the pictures of her in the act on my blog. Now, trust me I went through a LONG discussion and a lot of trouble get permission to post these pictures but she finally gave in. After consenting Kay raised a question which really bothered her, "Isn't your family going to think I'm a freak after they see this." I immidiately replied, "Honey they're going to be happy that I found someone who will fit right in with our family." What I didn't tell her that you guys are probably relieved that this is the wierdest thing a girlfriend of mine would do :)

At the Dog Wash
Each weekend, if not more often, we have the amazing oppurtunity to wash the smelly thing we call our dog. Kona is getting much bigger so the job that before took one, or possibly two people, is now becoming difficult with even three... I'm not exactly sure but I think Samantha may have got more wet than the dog and Kona made sure that Christina didn't stay dry either due to her constant shaking and wagging.

Beach weather
The time of the year has come where the beach is no longer a considerable option for something to do on any day that you're bored. School is back in, work is more often, and not to mention it's just not the same going to the beach while the wind blasts your face with sand instead of a perfect breeze. The time was great while it was here but I'm sad to see it go. Fortunately for me it is still very warm and I can walk outside in basketball shorts and nothing else at 9 at night... Anyway, with myself and Kay back in school the most opportune times to go the beach are cut out and it looks like we'll have to hope for that "free Saturday" to head out there again. If it's anything like last year I won't see the Pacific again until May... sad times.
